The fish tank

Fish, Fish, Fish, Fish, Fish, and Stripes have gone home to Ms Finikin’s big tank to visit their family until after the Covid surge. This is in case Ms Finikin can’t feed them for a week. Now we have three big snails to remove some of the green, and two plastic fish so we can pretend. We named them

Geoffrey is the snail on the front glass.
Simon is the sea horse looking directly at us.
Cooper is the fish down the bottom.
Connell is right at the back behind the filter.
Flyra is at the top left.

Ms Finikin did not name these chaps. If she did, they would have been called Snail, Snail, Snail, Fish, and Sea Horse.

Apparently Simon was insulted by the thought of not having a proper name and has turned his back on us. Can you see Connelly and Flyra better, now?

Night soil

Leon asked if poop trucks were real because he had seen a video of one that crashed into a wall with the expected results. Ms Finikin told us a story about her uncle cycling home after a scary movie in 1940s Opunake and crashing in to the back of the night soil cart.
