Last Friday Ms Finikin told us a story about why she no longer does Medieval sword fighting. It’s true what they say – it’s all fun and games until someone (almost) loses an eye.

21 August

Last Friday there was an earthquake based in Seddon. It was so big that it was still frightening by the time it reached us. On Monday we made posters about Drop, Cover, Hold and discussed them. On Tuesday we asked to be given some more paper to work on some homework of our own devising.

We thought about the rabbit and how its fur grew. Ms Finikin got some equipment and we learnt how to grow crystals. It was interesting but it took a long time – maybe a month.
