Pet Show and a project

We read Greedy Cat and the School Pet Show. We thought about how the characters from A Walk in the Park/ Voices in the Park would react to the situation. We wrote using the voice of our chosen character and then tried to talk like them when we read our stories.

One of our group decided she would like to do a homework project. She chose the New Zealand Prime Minister. Here it is.

Which parent?

In Anthony Browne’s Voices in the Park and A Walk in the Park there are two parents; Mr Smith and Mrs Smythe. Mr Smith is sad and poor and unemployed. His daughter and his dog love him and cheer him up. Mrs Smythe is rich and over-bearing. She talks to her dog more politely than she talks to her son. The children had to decide which parent they would prefer and explain why.
